How to integrate payments through PayPal

In order to include payment methods to your portals you must integrate with them.

In this article we will show you the process of integrating a Portal with PayPal.
PayPal is a commerce platform that gives payment processor services.

Integrating with it will allow you to accept payments in different currencies online.
To integrate a Portal with PayPal do the following:

You will need a Business PayPal account to ingrate with IP

  • Click on the Manage button for the Portal you want to integrate with PayPal.
  • While in the Portal’s dashboard click on the Payment Methods Tab
  • Click on the Integrate button next to the PayPal option
  • Fill the form with the required data, PayPal Account Email, Merchant ID, Client and Secret then click Submit, if you need help finding this data follow these steps

How to find the PayPal Account Email, Merchant ID, Client and Secret from PayPal?

  • While logged in to your PayPal business account click on Your Profile and Account Settings
  • You will find the Merchant ID under the Business information menu
  • Click on the Account access menu and on the Update button next to API access
  • Then click on the Manage REST API apps and credentials button below the REST API integration sub-menu
  • Pick the app you want to use for IP

You will be re-directed to the developers version of your PayPal account

  • Under the My Apps & Credentials menu click on the Sandbox/Live toggle to show the Live information and pick the app you want to use for IP, remember you can also create a new app to keep track of your API credentials’ use.
  • Copy and paste the PayPal Account email, Client ID and Secret from this screen

You will need to click on the show button to reveal the Secret

  • You can get the Client and Secret from this screen.
